First Silver Bracelet!

Hi again,

I have been wanting to do this with silver wire but i guess i was lacking the courage, after all, quite a length of wire would be wasted if the piece was not executed properly.

Luckily, I am pretty happy about the outcome of this first piece of silver bracelet here!

Flower 2

Pink & Blue

It took me a while to decide on the colour scheme for the flower beads to complement the Swarovski tear-drops, which is rather bluish-purple.

I finally chosen pink & blue beads, with a ice-blue pearl for the flower centre.

Name/Codename:Tear-Drops on Pink Petals SE0019

This pair could jolly well go with a floral dress or any clothes of pink/blue/purple/white colours. Infact, I have just the very dress here!

It has purple lace with pink embroidered flowers and lace edging at the V of the bodice.

Starting on The Flowers Series

Hi again :)

I was checking my inventories, not many gem stones left (except for 2 Lapis which can be made into either 2 pendants or a pair of earrings).

But I do have some Swarovski crystals....

Thinking about what to do with them for a while, I decided to start a flower series ( since i have many assortment of Toho beads left, these could be fashioned into flowers), & pairing these bead flowers with crystal is a way to go too!

Tada!! this is just the first one, and i am excited to start on the second pair asap!!!

Cheers for the flowers!!!

Welcome to SilverSmith Design Room

Hi, welcome to my design room.

This is my first forray into silver jewellery making, so I will use this blog to feature all my creations and works.

Silver jewellery design is so fun and I am so excited to show you my first few creations.

Infact, for a first timer, I think my creations look divine :) hehe

My objective here is to try things out as they go (see if there is any business opportunity for custom made silver pieces ) ...

At the same time, I am also cataloging my designs :)

So, here's the preview of my first rings

Name/Code: Blue Bubbles SR001/SR002

(Ice blue pearls and beads on steel wire as a trial out before actually using silver... )

Inspirations drawn from the graphic below, titled 'Out of this world', which I have done for the sennheiser graphic design competition. The blue tone is missing after I have copied and pasted this image here so it looks rather yellowish. The actual work is very much centred on blue...like silvery ice blue. :)

Design is fun but there is also much hardwork...when I was starting out with wire, my fingers hurt for 2 nights! & each piece took a long time to finalise the design as well.

Slow hard work, but when I see each completed piece, my heart swells with pride and satisfaction of my labour :)

Please feel free to contact me for your interests or kind suggestions with regards to my works and pieces.

I cant wait to post my next series of creations! Do come again and check out my next blog for more! Cheers
